Masquerade! Paper faces on parade!
Masquerade!
Paper faces on parade.
Masquerade!
Hide your face, so the world will never find you!
Masquerade!
Every face a different shade.
Masquerade!
Look around -
there's another
mask behind you!
The ADO challenge this month is (you guessed it!) Masquerade. Have I started my doll yet? No. I am still trying to find time to finish my cat doll from last month's challenge. But I am SO excited about this and wanted to share some inspiration.
Flash of mauve.
Splash of puce.
Fool and king.
Ghoul and goose.
Green and black.
Queen and priest.
Trace of rouge.
Face of beast.
Faces.

The Up Side of Winter
If you're anything like me, chances you've had more than enough of this season already. And it's only January! So lately I've been trying to look on the bright side of winter...being on this side of the window and not having to drive in it is helping! Winter really is very pretty. I love Christmas, of course, but I also like sitting by the window with a cup of hot chocolate watching the snow fall, and I love the frost patterns on the windows when I wake up. As long as I'm inside, I quite like this season!
Winter has inspired a couple of cuties for me:
Piper the Elf
Frost Fairy
Hope you are all keeping warm and cozy!!

Summer Favourite: Homemade Salsa
I love making this salsa in the summertime. It's great with tortilla chips, but I like it best on a bit of cheese bread like bruschetta. Yum!
~One large tomato (or a few cherry tomatoes)
~One leek (or green onions)
~One sweet pepper (I prefer to use half a red pepper and half a yellow pepper. It just makes for a more colourful salsa. Green or orange works too)
~One clove garlic
~One Tbsp cilantro (you can get tubes at the grocery store that are perfect for this)
~One Tbsp lime juice
Chop all the veggies up really teeny tiny. Add grated garlic, cilantro and lime juice. Mix it all together and let sit in the fridge for about 3 hours so that all the flavours meld together. Spread it on chips or cheese buns cut into squares and enjoy!!
